It has become our tradition each vintage to blend Red Mountain Fruit from Artz Vineyard and Columbia Valley fruit from Stillwater Creek Vineyard- the fruit from different sites, soils and climates gives complexity of flavor and texture to our Sauvignon Blanc. The 2012 growing season provided us plentiful sunshine and very even ripening. Once harvested, we gave the grapes a long ferment in the tanks at cool temperatures to keep the natural flavors and aromas. Once blended together, the grapes from these two sites create a wine with tropical notes, crisp citrus flavors and a rich finish.
Enjoy this wine with some Chevre or some Penn Cove Mussels.
