Winemaker Notes
This is our other spring white, and it has much to offer admirers of white wines who lean toward the more restrained style of a Chardonnay in comparison to the exotic characters of our Viognier. Nice expressive fruit of white peach and pear is brought into balance with a hint of wet stone and a minerality that keeps it from coming across as frivolous. This white table wine is Chardonnay barrel-fermented in a higher percentage of neutral oak and for a shorter time than its Chardonnay counterpart that we release in the fall. This would make a nice sipping wine, and you could certainly serve it with your meal as well.
